NFL Draft 2015
Roughly 3 weeks to go and lots to talk about.
I've seen Waynes projected as high as 10th and as low as the 22-23 range - where does he go?
What round does Langford land in? What other Spartans get drafted? Will Marcus Rush prove that no invite to the combine was a foolish decision?
Who do the beloved Lions jinx?
To start things off a good SI article on Lippett - WR or CB?

EAST LANSING, Mich.—Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio figures that Tony Lippett's ability to flip between wide receiver and cornerback starts with one key element.
"He's got pretty good ball skills, if I had to pick out one thing that stands out about him. It's being able to judge the ball in the deep part of the field, to play the ball and have the poise while the ball is in the air."
And ... wait. Scratch that. Those words are not Dantonio's.

Re: NFL Draft 2015
In February, ESPN.com’s Todd McShay labeled him “underrated” and said he could “wind up being a steal” in the 2015 NFL draft. In March, NFL.com’s Charles Davis placed Langford on his all-underrated team. Last week, CBS’ Frank Cooney also listed Langford as “underrated” and advised teams to put him on special teams until he undoubtedly proves himself -- again.
Now, just this week, one more analyst joined the argument. Err, agreement.
From NFL.com writer Mike Huguenin:

Re: NFL Draft 2015
Kenosha, Wisconsin, is not a football-factory kind of town.
The home town of former high school teammates Melvin Gordon and Trae Waynes, Kenosha is a quiet, little waterfront town on Lake Michigan with plenty of space for growing families and nurturing the art community and academics of nearby Carthage College and University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
The Friday night lights are not nearly as bright as one might expect from Bradford High School when one considers they have two likely first-round picks in the same draft class. In fact, Gordon (who went on to play running back at Wisconsin) and Waynes (a cornerback from Michigan State) were the first big-time athletes churned out by that football program, and it's entirely possible they are also the last for some time.
These are special young men: best friends, kindred spirits, brothers on and off the field.
They are also two of the complete opposite people one could meet.

Perhaps the best of the Waynes/Gordon stories.....
High school teammates Melvin Gordon, Trae Waynes focused on draft's first round
Draft night won't be their last moment together, but it will be the biggest yet. Erin Waynes will have her camera, clicking the shutter through tears.
"It's kind of crazy," Gordon said, "because now what we dreamed, it's a reality. It's all happening."

Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State
My dad coached running backs, and I've always had a special appreciation for the position. Gordon and Gurley are clearly the top backs in this draft, but Langford is a guy I really like. I don't understand why we don't hear his name more. He ran a 4.4. He gained 100 or more yards in every Big Ten film I watched. He breaks tackles, he picks up blitzes and he looks like an NFL back for sure. He is tough, he can catch, he has home run speed and I love the way they train guys at Michigan State.

EAST LANSING – Tony Lippett is uncertain if he'll be drafted, where he'll go or even what position he might end up playing in the NFL.
He can tell you exactly what's going to happen on his former team, though.
"The guy who's going to take my spot as the No. 1 guy is Aaron Burbridge," Lippett said of Michigan State's search for a new go-to receiver. "There's no doubt about it. Before he had the little foot thing in the spring, he was out there just balling, making it look easy. Last year he started to figure it all out, and I did my best to take him under my wing. He's gonna have a great senior year."

Hoping to see the Steelers trade up to take Waynes. Not likely, but I can still hope, right??

Either that or whether Collins goes from possible Top 10 to undrafted as a murder suspect.

Heck of a haul, especially since Ramirez can start at guard or center.

I'd guess Lions are looking at DL or CB now at 28. Starting OL would be Reiff-Ramirez-Swanson-Warford-Waddle/Lucas

Anybody know when the last time was that two players from the same HS were taken in the 1st round of the same NFL draft? Has to be somewhat rare.
