I was at the last Rutgers road game back in the JLS era. What a shitshow that was.

I would bet that the Oregon game becomes a night game, and despite how late in the season it is, I would not be surprised if the OSU game was a night game. Seemed like last year both schools wanted the game at night, and I wouldn't be surprised to see OSU push having the game at night this year as well.

Nebraska I bet is a 3:30 game, but they might want us at night as well. Would love having 5 primetime games again this fall.

I must be getting old because I admit to some night game fatigue last season. But I'm also not convinced of the benefit of those games any more, considering the night schedule is littered with competition just like the noon and 3:30 slots are. The BTN night games especially are totally overshadowed by better matchups on ABC/ESPN/FOX, etc. IMHO.

But mainly I'm just sleepy by the time these things end.

I wouldn't rule out OSU as a night game, either. Remember, last year, it took them until late July to set that as a night game. 

It's very late in the season, but it's THE B1G game of the season and right now it's one of the most anticipated games in the country. Also, looking at the competition for that week (Oregon-USC, Arizona-Arizona State, LSU-Ole Miss), it's clearly the best game that week.

Fox is going to take one or both the Pac-12 games, so that doesn't leave ESPN as much (and I think they'd rather have MSU-OSU than LSU-Ole Miss as their showcase game), so you can bet that they'll be pushing OSU and MSU to have their game at night. You know Meyer likes night games and the exposure, and Dantonio appreciates the exposure and wouldn't back down from the challenge.

I could see the B1G pushing it to not be a night game, due to how late it is, but I could also see them wanting it at night because of how TV negotiations for the conference are coming up. I really wouldn't be surprised if they make it a night game, and I think it'd be stupid to not make it a night game, but we all know how Delany operates...

I'm with you Fletch, 4 home night games last year was a bit tedious. I like noon games, being able to listen to SCUM get thrashed on the drive home, then catch prime time game from the lazy boy, maybe a west coast game after that.

Love the night games. I am still in a treestand while it is light out..............
