Bulletproof coffee
Tried it fire the first time today. Essentially it's coffee, with grass fed butter, and coconut oil.
It was tasty but I didn't feel any great effect from it.
Anyone else try it?

No. But I also refuse to add stuff to my coffee. Why would I put butter or anything else in my coffee?

How do you feed grass to butter? I would imagine it wouldn't digest very well.

Re: Bulletproof coffee
I have a good friend who drinks it every day. He seems to like it, but admits that it probably doesn't actually do very much.
Still though, it's good to get a bit of fat in your system for brain function in the morning. I've been doing Intermittent Fasting for a few months now, and once I get body fat ratio in good shape, I may give it a shot after my workouts.

Butter in coffee? No. Just no. You know what goes in coffee? More coffee, and that's only if you want more or need to hear it up.

People drink cream in their coffee right?
So unsalted butter is churned cream.
Not sure why that is that big of a leap. Unless of course you have no idea what butter really is.

Re: Bulletproof coffee
Butter is usually either wrapped and formed like a stick, or in a tub. Cream usually comes in some form of a carton, they are totally different things.LoneWolfSparty wrote:tGreenWay wrote:Butter in coffee? No. Just no. You know what goes in coffee? I put coconut cream in my coffee instead of creamer or sugar. It is very good. Was doing paleo for a while and it was recommended.

Re: Bulletproof coffee
In my house, nobody is allowed to add anything to their coffee.
I broke my Nothing in coffee except more coffee rule only one time in my life: When my first-born was an infant and still breastfeeding, her momma insisted on adding some milk from the pump into the boy's cup.
I maintain that's why he's a little too soft. The girls only got coffee and they're sturdy as shit.

Believe it or not, Walmart sells a very highly rated brand of grass fed butter: Kerygold. In stopping by Target tonight, I'll check if they carry it too. There is always Whole foods, they definitely have it.

Have bought it from a couple organic dairy farms in the past. My ex sometimes made it from raw cream we got from those places.

It's fine if you get it from quality sources (you can buy it off the shelf at California grocers) but I don't even want to get into this discussion again because pin-dick pathophobe Gomer will inevitably show up, making up stuff about shit in the milk.Turtleneck wrote:Is it safe to drink raw milk?

I'm not going to lie, I was kind of trolling there. Well, not kind of but intentionally trying to cause a raw milk shit storm. Just so you know, you ruined it for all of us.

Truth is if the Michigan milk Nazis spent as much time/money setting up and overseeing a system like California's, instead of hounding honest small dairy farmers, everyone could be happy.

Exactly! When God invented coffee, he was all like "Thou shalt not put half and half in thines coffee" and shit. The cave men knew what was up.

You sound like a communist. If I want butter in my coffee, by God, I'm going to have butter in my coffee. That's how I meant to have my coffee. America.
