Coffee, how do you take it?
I like my coffee like my women: hot and black.
But seriously, nothing at all unless it's really, really shitty coffee then maaaaybe a pinch of sugar. But that's it.

Re: Coffee, how do you take it?
10 years ago I tried to learn to like the taste of black coffee. After two months of trying I just couldn't stand it, so back to the cream and sugar I went and I have never looked back.

Milk at home half and half at restaurant. Never needed sugar.

Black. Although I often use single pot packages of flavored coffees like Mackinaw Fudge or caramel and add regular coffee to strengthen it.

Black. Period. ****ed around with cream and sugar a little when I was young but the hassle was more trouble than worth.
Glad I went black. Love a good cup of coffee. Not piping hot...cooled enough to enjoy the flavor.

Re: Coffee, how do you take it?
I have drank 2-3 cups of coffee every morning for 20 years and I don’t even really like it that much. I am just an addict.
I do love the Keurig I got for Christmas though. That makes it a little more interesting. I can make iced tea or hot cocoa for the kids. You want a Hazlenut or some english tea I have you covered.
Must order more K Cups!

Actually, I'm kidding. I like it black but I only went black to cut out the calories from cream. Now I can't stand it unless black.
If I hadn't gotten older I would still be drinking with cream.
Another strange phenomenon as you age, you start wanting stronger and stronger flavors. Must be that your taste buds get weaker.

I tried to switch for the exact same reason - eliminate the calories. I just wussed out plain and simple.LoneWolfSparty wrote:

Use a drip coffee maker at home but bought a single cup Keurig to keep on my desk at work because other coffee options there sucked. Good stuff. Their French roast is on point too. Green Mountain's Dark Magic is my personal favorite.

I must be the only person who doesn't take cream because of the taste. Cutting out the calories is just a bonus. The problem is it's not a complement. It completely masks the taste of the coffee. It becomes more a hot desserty drink at that point.

I always took it Black. Also liked some Vanilla occasionally.
After 20+ years of a pot or more a day I've not had a cuppa now for nearly 5 years. I still crave it now and again.

It helps thicken it up and smooth out some of the bitterness of the darker roasts. As far as taste goes it certainly dilutes it... but I guess that's the purpose.

Re: Coffee, how do you take it?
Did a pot or more before giving up coffee for 2-3 years 10-15 years ago...really bad headache the first week. Went back to it but don't drink anywhere near what I did before. Sometimes go a day or two without.LooseGoose wrote:I always took it Black. Also liked some Vanilla occasionally.

Cream and sugar. I've noticed myself putting less of each in, some top end coffees I'll drink close to black.

Ditto. Me gusta el bean. But I'm more likely to add milk/cream if the coffee is crappy and/or been on the burner too long; I'll add a little sugar if it's been too long since I've eaten.
Although I like iced coffee, too, so I don't know if I can co-sign with the "hot" bit. Just sayin' -- and with iced coffee, I take it with milk AND sugar. What the hell -- it's just pop at that point anyway.

I use a pour over and grind my own beans. A little sugar and whole milk. The pour over makes an incredible cup.

I don't mind an iced coffee on a hot summer day. Or those cold Starbucks drinks you can find at gas stations. Slam one of those down and you're good to go for about 5 hours.

If there's cream and sugar around I'll use it. Why not? If not, I drink it black. Don't know why it has to be one or the other.

Re: Coffee, how do you take it?
Why not? Well, if you drink multiple cups a day all the sugar and calories can't be good for you. Plus, some people don't like the taste. So there's two reasons why not to.

Take it with milk, two sugars and I drink it while sitting directly over the toilet.

If you put shit in your coffee you probably live in a suburb and also put shit in your hair.
