Congrats and all but let's focus on the important stuff right now..."Are you going to be able to play in the league championship Saturday"??? Wink

I talked to the Dr. If they are going to discharge him, they will do it in the afternoon so I can go.

Part of my fear is that on Wed, while I was visiting him, the nurse went to go do something. In the ICU it is basically 1 nurse to 1 or 2 patients, so they should always be nearby. He rolled over on his tummy. I was scared and didn't know what to do because I didn't want to do something that could open the wound. My wife being a nurse helps a lot and she is taking 2 weeks off, but I also don't want to go back to the hospital. They have put him on a medication to bring down his heartbeat.

The important thing is, I am golfing tomorrow.

Good to hear, Intensity! It's still heartbreaking to see that scar on his chest though.

Hopefully the golf can take your mind off it for a few hours.

Somewhat funny story. I was getting my haircut, and the guy asked me if I missed him. I didn't say no right away, and I thought about that. I've probably seen him more this week than I do in a usual week. I go to the hospital on my way to work, during lunch and then after work until 9 or 10. Usually he is gone for a day or two during the week. I miss my daughter, I've only seen her once this week. Its also the first week I've slept through the whole night, and I feel rested up.
Thanks for all the well wishes. He is doing awesome.

I had to read that a couple times b/f I realized the barber wasn't asking whether you missed him (i.e., the barber).

Yeah I hate to say it but when my wife takes the kids to Arizona to visit her mom over her spring break 'missing them' isn't the first thing on my mind. It's holy shit - A clean house! No fighting! No crying! I can sleep through the night tonight! I don't have to make lunches! No day care drop off/pick up! Hallelujah, where's the bourbon?

At any rate very happy he's on the mend.
