Too brain dead to put much thought into dinner so I made a blackened turkey roll-up with a Hungarian pepper, tomato and Swiss.

I found out the wing joint down the street has 50% off craft beer after 9:30. I've gone there the last couple nights after leaving the hospital, debating on making it a 3rd.

For food, I just cooked up half a pound of 96/4 ground beef (more expensive but healthier + doesn't have to be drained), topped it off with taco sauce and broke some tortilla chips over it with a glass of water. Solid meal.

First, I do not eat fish sandwiches. So even without your insight I would never order a fish sandwich at Hopcat. Second, I will probably never enter a Hopcat so my first point is kind of moot.

Am I missing something with Hopcat? Not a sarcastic question. Next time I am in Michigan, is it something I should check out? Does not really seem like something I would go for, but that is really based on all the jokes people make about the place.

Hopcat is fine. They have a shitload of beers on tap. So do a lot of places. They have decent food. So do a lot of places. They have a hipster vibe. So do a lot of places. Probably not many in EL that have all of those things so it's a bit unique.

I worked there for a few weeks, it was nothing special man. It's modeled after chain restaurants but with an outstanding beer selection. I love drinking there but I don't eat anymore because everything is deep fried horse shit. Many better options in Detroit and Ann arbor as far as food goes
