Acceptable toddler punishment?

So I was hanging with Friends with kids and I don't know how you parents do it. Instead of having fun at a pool BBQ you kid has to act like a total twat even after naptime.

So bc no one bits their kid anymore is this punishment acceptable? Take an old car sest, strap them in, and out them in some closet until they stfu.

That a good idea?

If we acted like dicks in public, my mom would put us in the car and we'd go home. She, on many occasions, abandoned a half full cart of groceries at the store to take us home and deal with us there.

I always thought that was really effective and she never looked like an asshole parent.

Positive they never did this I was hit or more often threatened to be hit. I remember those threats, very effective when done with izzo like enthusiasm and intensity

Of course that's not acceptable. To be honest if your friends children act that way all the time it should tell you something about your friends.
