2048 - Post your high scores here

This game is driving me up the wall.  I got the 1,024 tile today but my nerves got the better of me and I blew it at the end.  Ended up at 16,788.  I just hope I can get the 2048 tile without having to destroy my phone in the process

Getting 2048 isn't real tough anymore. It's all about keeping the biggest number in the upper right corner. I like to line up other big numbers along the top row. As long as you don't shift that top right number down or left and allow a little tile in there, you will win.

I have a buddy who has gotten 4096 a couple of times. I am not that dedicated.

Yeah somebody posted this game during the lead up to the first hoops game in the tourney. Didn't really pay to much attention to it until this weekend.

Quick game at lunch... got 2048, 1024, 512 and 256 tiles before it all fell apart. So close.   

29668 - have beat it five times. Pick one direction not to move tiles and you can get to 1024 really easily.

I must really suck at this game. I can't get past 256

26440...Tried keeping the tiles in one corner and it does work. Still takes some patience though

37,324.... Last night was the first time I got a personal best in over a month. Still didn't get a 4096 tile though godammit. my 2048 to trapped one tile away from the corner and doomed me.

I have the app. What do you mean by "beat it"? Don't the numbers just keep getting higher?

EDIT: check your settings. The game doesn't have to stop at 2048.

lol, I fucked around with that one for like an hour once and couldn't get the gamed to end. I think it must take like 12,000,000,000,000 moves before you get close to being in trouble.

Downloaded 2048+ to get moar of a challenge with a 3x3 grid... Max I have gotten is the 256 tile

Bump because I finally beat the damn thing (thanks to the poster[s] who suggested the getting-it-all-in-one-corner method, though at some point I had to go in all directions). Now I'm trying for 4096. Not sure if I'll attempt that crazy huge one (whoever made that is a masochist).

Keep your largest numbered tile in a corner and do not move it unless you are forced to.

Took me the whole flight from MIA - IND last night.

Tried this again for the first time in forever and got the 8192 square high score of 96820. Suck it men.

I would post the screen shot if I knew how.

So the new tile appears in an almost random area (depending on the direction you send the other tiles. How is this anything but chance with a tiny bit of strategy. It's like roulette.
