Who is the most famous clown of all-time?

Don't ask, but somehow I got into a discussion earlier about who the most famous clown of all-time is. A buddy says it is no question Bozo the Clown. I said, no way, nobody under ~30 knows who Bozo even is. Ronald McDonald is the most famous clown hands down in my opinion.

What say you? Bozo or Ronald?

I don't think of clowns very often. It's just a personal choice I made. This makes me think about my favorite childhood clowns Oopsie Daisy and Milky, though.

I don't think Ronny Mac qualifies. He doesn't do clown stuff. Just dressed like one. Total non-clown in my book.
