Wow, CoachedByDuffy passed away
Just saw this on the RCMB. A post from his daughter-in-law is at the top of the page.
Can't say that I remember him well, but I'm sure I had some SB'er/DE'er exchanges with him. Well, that's sad. I guess we only know each other by screen names and postings. For the most part, we never get to meet the person behind the screen. And then suddenly they're gone...
RIP CBD.

He was more active in the recruiting forums. I think he passed away either right before or after the Sugar Bowl. Why post this here though? If there is a thread on 247, just post it there.Vlad wrote:Just saw this on the RCMB. A post from his daughter-in-law is at the top of the page.

RIP CoachedbyDuffy
It is on 247, so if you're banned, you'll have to logout. I was wrong, sounded like it happened this last spring.

Okay.
On a tangent, I was reading an interesting article on NPR the other day regarding how doctors choose to pass away. The vast majority of them elect to die peacefully at home, without any prolonged treatments, procedures, testing, etc. And yet, most of us non-doctors do everything we can to prolong the lives of our loved ones, even when all quality of life is gone. We just prolong their suffering.
Reminds me to draft my living will.

Re: Wow, CoachedByDuffy passed away
I remember him well, liked him, and am sad that he has passed.
He was the guy, remember, who got access to football practices (because -- wait for it -- he was COACHED BY DUFFY), watched what went on and was able to break it down for tRCMB, and got called on the carpet by Hollis or ... was it Dantonio, or JLS? Don't remember, but he was told not to put his observations and analysis on the Interwebz anymore, where just anybody could read them.
Remember? "People read this board." Fortunately, this is tSwill, which nobody reads.

His daughter inlaw said he never actually was coached by Duffy but lived in married housing next to some of the players and took a class from him.
He knew football however, it was fun reading him.

tRCMB is always a great place for censorship.SpartanInNH wrote:I remember him well, liked him, and am sad that he has passed.

Re: Wow, CoachedByDuffy passed away
Coached By Duffy was giving some decent insight on practices and recruits right up to a few months before he passed away. Most of his stuff was on the Duffy board.
Once 247 took over you don't get much over there anymore. It was bad enough that all of Eblings stuff went behind the pay way but there is little the 247 jock sniffers post that you don't get from Rexrode within 24 hours.
