Asked, but the vending company at work says they can't deliver Mounds bars. That's bullshit. You gotta wanna. I'm thinking their buyer hates coconut.

Wanted something to go with black coffee in the morning...the shitty little donuts they offer weren't cutting it.

I'm now backtracking on every disparaging comment I ever made about Kit Kat bars. They are awesome with coffee. Dipping them would be a mess. Take a bite then take a sip.

Yeah, but Mounds are for people that are a bit...ummm... more experienced in having birthdays.

I mean, I like Mounds, and I like coconut in general, but I haven't eaten a Mounds or Almond Joy that wasn't a mini size handed out on Halloween in my life. There's just SOO many more, better options out there if I'm buying a candy bar.

I dont think Nordy was saying Mounds doesn’t taste good. He was saying because it’s not popular, the vending machine owner isn’t going to make any money. And even if there was a Mounds to buy in the machine, it would taste really old because it’s not popular and would’ve been in the machine since the Clinton Administration.

tl:dr. Even if it tastes good, Mounds isn’t popular so the owner doesn’t make any money on it and you waste your money buying a very, very old candy bar.

At my former house in Michigan we were we used to get over 400 kids each Halloween. We gave out full size candy bars by putting an extensive assortment on a large table in our garage - the kids could choose what ever one they wanted. We did this for years so we came quite practiced at it and the results were remarkably consistent. The most popular candy year after year:

1 - sour skittles
2 - Swedish fish
3 - sour patch kids
4 - plain Hershey bars

The least popular were always snickers and reese's peanut butter cups. This baffled me at first until I realized that kids get a lot of those for Halloween so when given a choice they would choose what they liked but did not get much of. I still don't get the Hershey bar thing but it was consistent year after year.
