Best Michigan Waterpark

Probably take the kids to one of those touristy, redneck, desease carrying parks this winter. Which one has the best water park? Avalanche bay, great wolf, soaring eagle, etc.

Kingston wants to go to hell. I have been to Khalihari which is in Ohio and was pure hell. I went Double J and that actually wasn't bad at all. There were so few people there I would be surprised if it isn't bankrupt again though.

We went to Soaring Eagle this past winter. It's not huge but it wasn't bad at all. Our 4yo absolutely loved it and I thought the two large waterslides were surprisingly fast. It also has a lazy river and one of those things where you can try to boogie board. They also sell beer!

How old are your kids? 

Been to both Great Wolfs (TC and Sandusky) and Avalanche Bay. I thought Avalanche Bay was much nicer. It's smaller but less trashy. And they let you go down the water slides with your kids. The one at Frankenmuth looks decent from the outside.

Serious answer, I don't think the indoor places are geared much to the older kids. At least not the ones I've been to. I think I heard Kalahari in Sandusky might be the most extreme of all of them, but probably still pretty tame for a 16 year old.

Who cares? The older kids should be earning their keep in the mines not playing at a watermark.

Avalanche bay fo sho. But you'll be competing with skiers for rooms. Winter at Boyne is fun. ski/snowboard/tube/heated outdoor pool/hot tub/Avalanche bay/drinkalot
