Coach D: "team feeds off crowd"

"Our seniors have done a great job of looking at things in terms of how they approach handling success," Dantonio said. "We've taken a mature outlook and we understand the bottom can fall out at any point in time. We need to play to the utmost of our ability, that's all I care about.

"I think every football team feeds off the crowd, winning certainly helps, and if you want to be part of something special, then you stay until the end, and you become a more passionate fan," Dantonio said. "I'm appreciative of people who stay and who are a part of this."

Nike co-founder and Oregon supporter Phil Knight told MSU athletic director Mark Hollis that it was the best football event -- pro or college -- that he had ever been to, according to MSU spokesperson John Lewandowski.
