ever caught a foul ball?

I had one wiz by me as a youngster at Tiger Stadium. Being a kid it
1) probably wasn't that close
and 2) I would have had no shot at catching that heater
Other than that never been close to a ball. Two direct shots in one game is crazy to me.

A ball landed 20ft away from me at the only game I went to this year. That's the closest I've ever come.

Nope. I had three homers land in my section at a minor league game, but didn't even go for them cuz.. y'know... Fuck the minors.

Saturday afternoon at Wrigley about 30 years ago friend's brother sitting next to me in left field front row caught a line drive HR. Caught it like he was wearing a glove with his bare hand. It was really cool.

As the game went on the alcohol begann to wear off and his whole hand swelled up. He missed a few days of work because of it.

Pop foul behind the plate/over the netting at a Lugnuts game. Have also gotten a couple pucks at Munn.

He missed 3, not 2. Dude has some sweet hand eye coordination. Wonder if his gf dumped him that night.

Have a friend and his dad had Yankee season tickets for 20+ years.outfield seats brought his glove every game and his dream was to catch a hr.

Had them come close but never to his seat. One time he came back from the bathroom and he found out a ball had been hit right at his seat.

Well finally a few years ago he caught one off of a rod. He had some pretty cool Facebook photos of his dad in the pin stripe jersey, with glove and ball.

I missed a HR ball right to me one time. Should have had it.

But I have caught two hockey pucks.

I had a ball land two rows directly in front of me at a Marlins game last year. Surprisingly, there were actually people there, and the dipshit fumbled it and it fell a couple of rows further forward.

Prior to that, the closest was when I was a kid at Tiger Stadium, sitting in the lower deck right field in the seat right net to the entrance-way to the concourse. During batting practice Ben Ogilvy (for the Brewers, IIRC?) hit a line drive homer that slammed into the part just above the entrance way with the section number about 3 feet from me.

I've caught two.

The first one was when I was 12 down at a Tigers spring training game with my friend and his family (hit by the great Juan Samuel) and the other was about 7 years ago at a Great Lakes Loons game.

He had a tough time but he hired some out of work lawyer with a pet parrot who wiped it for him.
