I had us at 6. Didn't think we'd jump the Irish aura. Also figured Iowa and Oklahoma would be flipped.

There are 4 big Ten teams in the top 10. Including 3/7 in our division.
That's nutso. But it also means that the big Ten winner is going to the playoff. And if not then Jim Delany will rip someone's heart out and eat it.

Wouldn't matter because I'd have us in at #2 after we win the B1GCCG.

I'd have us at number one and I would see to it that only shitty teams would be in the other three spots. Because im a true spartan. Not like Floyd who hates msu apparently.

Re: #5 in newest CFP poll
Awesome. It's setting up sweet for us. Now we just have to play a solid game against PSU. I think PSU is going to be a tough out. All the pundits will be picking MSU and disrespecting PSU, so they're going to have a chip on their shoulder. I think they'd love nothing more than to spoil the season for us, so I think they're going to bring their best game and give it all they've got. The D is going to have to bring a strong defensive effort again. I have a feeling that Cook won't play on Saturday. Hopefully the O-Line can contain the PSU pass rush and TOC can connect on some passes. I'd love to see a breakout game for LJ Scott. Also, hopefully the D-Line can get to Hackenberg and force some bad throws. A Nicholson pick six would be great.

Beauty. Like I've said, if Iowa is in and we're top five, we're in. They lose next week we move up. They win, they stay or move up and we get to play them the last saturday before final selection. Love the big tens position.
Now I hope Stanford beats ND 6 to 2 in a horribly played game that everyone turns off.

While I subjectively believe Bama is one of the two best teams, it's "best" (and only Top 25) win at this point is No. 21 Mississippi State.
=======
And of course we've beaten #8, #10 & #17.....with 8 & 10 on the road.

I don't know why Alabama is entitled to the #2 spot for doing very little. Also Oklahoma gets way too much credit for barely beating TCU who didn't have their star QB playing.
It should all work itself out and it's probably not worth thinking about at this point, but the committee seems to make up things as they go.

Poor Dwags… Still straining his little brain to figure out that the bet was about the terms offered by a fool. With no downside, it would take a bigger fool to turn that bet down.
Give it up Dwags, you're an Xs and Os guy. Stick to teaching Phys Ed to high schoolers.

Yeah, can you believe it?? A fool offered up $10,000 to my $100, with me having a 13% chance of winning.

I can see putting up 100 for a chance to win 10,000...but you would most certainly have been parting with that 100. Seems kind of crazy to think an undefeated Big 10 champ would get left out.

Re: #5 in newest CFP poll
I think that ultimately, if MSU wins out, we end up at #2. If they didn't that means the committee doesn't even believe in their own rankings. No way you could justify a team having 2 top 10 win, and probably 4 top 15 wins over their own poll. The loss isn't that great, but it was also pretty controversial and every team is going to have a loss at that point. It isn't like they lost at home with 5 turnovers by 5 points or so, or lost to a 4-8 team by double digits.
The best news would be the fact that MSU would be going into the game healthy.
