I mean I put a dollar in the lottery at a trillion to one odds but I don't think I'd hand somebody a hundy and say "here you go".

Jesus Christ Vlad, just shut the fuck up about the stupid bet. Let everyone else think you're an idiot for making a bet you had no chance of winning and you can go to sleep tonight knowing that you're smarter than everyone else. Half the threads on the damn board are about you and your bet that never even came to fruition. 

NOW BACK TO ACTUAL FOOTBALL TALK, an acquaintance of mine has raised an interesting scenario: 

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. MSU
4. Ohio St

Not that far out of the realm of possibilities here. Basically it would come down to OSU winning a game that oddsmakers have as pretty much a tossup, Stanford winning a game where they are a 4 point fave (vs. ND) and Okie St winning bedlam (OU is -3.5 in Stillwater). 

OSU would have to "jump" Baylor but that wouldn't be that crazy if OSU wins @ #10 Michigan. Baylor is @ TCU this week and could win but TCU is 19 and Boykin may not play and we all know Doctson has been out. Who do you think would win a beauty contest between the defending National Champs and Baylor?

Too bad scUM doesn't have a similar path back in. If love nothing more than to crush their spirits again.

They do, actually. Would take a few more dominoes to fall.

TCU would def have to beat Baylor and Stanford would probably have to lose to Oregon in the PAC Champ game. Not that unlikely. 

Then it would probably come down to 11-1 Okie St and 10-2 Michigan. Maybe also 12-1 Iowa. 

If these stupid playoff rankings have taught me anything it's that the committee is going to favor the traditional powerhouses in these toss up scenarios.

This seems like something new to you.  I understand.  Your mistake was thinking that if MSU was good at football that we'd get a fair shake from the Detroit media.  Oh to be young and idealistic again...

Told you folks the CFP folks are looking to make up for taking OSU over Baylor last year. Only explanation for jumping that high in one week.

I think they didn't want to shut out the Big Ten and the millions of eyes the conference brings.
