While it was fun messing with Ross for a little while, it got boring, so I just started ignoring him. If everyone else just had their fun and then ignored him, he probably would've got bored and gone away. Either that, or he would've posted increasingly risky shit until he got a series of TOS violating posts deleted, eventually earning a ban that everyone would agree with. I don't like SD365, so I personally don't care what happens to him, I just don't like the precedent set in this case. Other posters have posted pics far worse than the Verlander/Upton pic, for example, the pic of the 3 old guys gay porn thing that was posted after the Nebraska loss. I can't remember who posted that, but that was a TOS violating post if there ever was one, and I think it was just deleted. The Verlander/Upton pic was used as an excuse to ban someone that wasn't liked and that's the precedent I don't like.

What if the series of TOS violating posts got us deleted before the mods got them deleted?

That's exactly what Ross was setting this up for. He would have responded to his post getting deleted by having a public fit and posting stuff on or over the line until something bent or broke. While that's how he envisioned spending his holiday weekend in the basement, it wasn't how I was going to spend mine out and about. He knew what he was fucking doing and it wasn't an accident. When Travis suggested fucking with him in different ways to get him to do more and more outlandish stuff, he replied just like I said he would. By trying to disrupt the function of the forum (and posting nudity).

As for the whole "precedent" / slippery slope argument and how other posters are handled. There are specific rules to follow as Heat alluded to. Specifically, Geronimos can't be banned without a vote. Regardless of what they do. That's why we have the fucking rules. In part, so we don't have to waste time with fucking trolls.
