Yeah...he didn't have much of an explanation for OSU (or I wasn't paying attention enough). I thought we beat them, but I guess that didn't matter in his book.

He said MSU has the best resume but is not among the top four. Went on to say that some people have great resumes but do not make great employees. His excuses were: Adams had a broken hand and over threw a receiver in the end zone late in the game...so that win does not count; MSU did not beat UM; OSU was not managing expectations well and playing below ability...so that win does not count.

When he talks about football his commentary is cringe worthy.

It was one of the most poorly put together arguments I have heard in a while. It was just bad. Never made sense.

None of MSU's missed opportunities against Oregon were mentioned. Only an injured Adams overthrowing a receiver late in the 4th.

As for UM, Cook threw for more yards in that game than UM had given up through the air in their previous three games...combined! MSU doubled them in first down and had nearly 400 yards of offense against a D that shutting out teams left and right. MSU beat UM all over the place.

Then there is OSU. MSU's D was flying all game. MSU took away their run game and was not letting down the field plays develop with great DL play. Gottleib would not know football if a football was shoved up his ass. The game was always close and came down to the last play...like 26732804583986280 other football games in the history of the sport.

To conclude, Gottleib is a dumb thief.

Seriously, who the fuck is Gottlieb? He matters? I guess I've heard of the guy, but I don't know who he is. How does his opinion affect anything?

Alabama wouldn't have played in the SEC Championship if Ole Miss QB would have seen a wide open receiver when they played Arkansas or if Arkansas rollout, lateral pass downfield play had been defended.

Oklahoma needed 2 OT's to beat what turned out to be a 4 loss Tennessee team. Their 2 signature wins were a squeaker beating TCU and a shootouts vs Baylor when both those schools starting QB's were out for the season.

Clemson barely beat ND in a hurricane style monsoon.

Every team in the playoff had games they could have lost but didn't and in 'Bama's case Arkansas bailed them out to get to the final SEC game.

It's absolutely precious that Dougie is trying to contribute to the college football playoff conversation.
