That was a pretty quick modification by the 247 programmer.

Didn't ESPN partner with Spartan Tailgate and other college sites for awhile, but ESPN ended up scrapping most of that idea? I think the remnants of that are the few remaining team content sections on ESPN's College Football Nation blog.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:When is ESPN going to offer to buy us out?

Soon. I resigned to get my salary off the books, but did negotiate stock options.

I just registered Giant Moose on CBS Sports so I'm ready for the changeover. Hopefully Rocky will ban me there, too, soon.

CBS should move in fire the low rent writers, and ban the bigots moderating the boards.

Re: Mission Accomplished - 24/7 purchased by CBSSports
Shannon Terry has sold 3 recruiting based web sites. He started Alliance Sports with a partner in the late '90's and sold it to Rivals for $3M in 2000.
Rivals went bankrupt during the tech bubble and Terry bought what was left for $500K. In 2007 Yahoo Sports bought Rivals for for $100M and Terry got his 20% share. Waited for 3 years and started 247 in 2010 that he just sold to CBS.
According to the link 247 was generating $15M in income in 2015 That's a lot of folks paying $79/year for 'cruitin' news..
Given ther excitement at Yahoo, Rivals might be for sale again in the next few years.

Honestly, I was about to come here and declare this place dead. But there are so many posts I can't even keep track. I really think tSwill is the future of MSU sports message board posting. The biggest issue we will face is how we can keep the community intact vs the high demand for the "premium content" this board provides at no cost

If it just keeps up at this pace I'm ok with that.

I hadn't been here the last couple of weeks so I figured the only new threads would be Nigel with some Generosa crap and BobbySak/LooseGoose talking about guns

And I think I speak for all of tSwill when I say that our thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family at this time.
