Voting Day

So I went to vote this morning, and I was feeling like I should represent for Bobby Saks (RIP), that bike riding, Up North hating, regular beer swilling swillster and therefore I was prepared to cash, by proxy, his vote for Bernie.

And then I get to my precinct, and realize that it I am voting in a building used for worship. That's right it is a house of God, not the actual sanctuary but in a room adjacent to the main worship hall, lots of God sayings on the walls, and religiousy pictures on the walls. This touched me, and I could no longer vote for Bob because there is no way that he would get this close to a place of worship - so I voted for Kasich (probably wasted the vote - but he is the best candidate, most presidential, most experienced - and unlike Trump the least likely to piss of Putin or China and escalate shit)

While we're on this subject, can someone explain to me the logic behind the single-party ballot in the primary?

Seems to me that it actually encourages tomfoolery and boogery. If a candidate in your party is a prohibitive favorite can't you just go to the other party and try to fuck them up?

Is the DNC going to allow Michigan votes for Hillary to count this time?

Still undecided. Kasich is growing on me, but I really don't like Hillary. A Bernie vote might have to happen instead. Sway my opinion Swillers!

I decided after the last debate and some further review over the weekend that Kasich is getting my vote.

There is so much hate for pretty much everyone running in this election. It has a ton of people nervous. I've heard "____ can never beat ____ in the general election" with pretty much every combination possible. Settle down people, whoever we get, things aren't going to change all that much.
