Should we bring back SD?

I would like some help making this decision. I'm really not sure, the board seems split 50/50 and Nordic has his panties in a bunch over it so I thought I'd put it to a vote because fuck off.

P.S. - This is because I deactivated his account so there's no just "waiting around" for his ban to expire. At the moment, it is permanent. Obviously, he could fire up a new account and act like a dick again, but he'd just get banned again so...

All new accounts require admin approval (we have SD to thank for that). I regularly delete new accounts that are obviously him. He's here lurking & it kills him that he can't post. I have no desire to see him back. Could do without Bob too. 12k+ posts saying the same thing is about 10k too many.

He doesn't really piss me off. He's just high maintenance. The vast majority of "admining" I have to do is directly because of him. The "act" is weak (as are many of the other "acts" around here). It's the same 10+ year old shit that the same people were pulling back in the vBulletin/Booby Williams days.

I guess all the good "acts" (Bolly/Malibu/etc) actually require thought & are too much trouble. Much easier to go the Bob/SD route. Lowest common denominator.

Thing is, even those "good ones" get old. Honestly by the time it ended bolly wasn't funny anymore. Mostly because, as tends to happen, everyone caught onto it and started trying to make their own copy cat style jokes. Kills it. Sometimes the best thing to do is just let the schtick die and reinvent. Same thing goes for the trolls. Reinvent.... troll in a different way. Continuing to just hit the same nail with the same hammer over and over again isn't bad because it's irritating or because you disagree with them, it's bad because it's boring as fuck.
