That's too bad. I kinda liked him as a player skill wise. Um just didn't suit his game. If they would have thrown him the ball they could have won the title last year.

He's not a post player. Why would they throw him the ball? He's a complementary player. He gets garbage buckets and scores on pick and rolls.

On um that is exactly what he was for sure. It's all he could get. I always thought if they could get him a touch it would open things up. Plus he is big so he could do work down there.

I think McGary has more to fear in the drug testing and the interviews than he does in the physical.

The kid has always been a complete moron. I believe the term his father used was "head case".

If you want the real story, here it is.

McGary was ready for the combine. On the morning of the combine, McGary got lost in the hotel while trying to leave for the combine. By the time he got to the ground floor there was just enough time to make the combine without being late. For some reason, McGary decided to leave through the hotel kitchen. That is where he saw a hotel cook boiling some water. McGary was so fascinated by the boiling water that he lost track of time while asking the cook questions about water temperature, vapor, gasses, and completely missed the combine.

I can't see McGary being an impact player, but Oden was, and still would be, if not for the injuries. McGary never had what Oden did.

Back injuries tend to linger, or get tweaked again and again. If that's the case, McGary could end up being an amusing footnote, and forgotten very soon. If he does come back 100%, his size could keep him on the end of an NBA bench for 10 years, even if he's just a warm body put in to rest the starter at the end of the half.

The fact that McGary skipped the physicals, the drug tests and the interviews with NBA teams isn't a good look. It appears he has a lot to hide.

No no no. That can't be right. How could he be a moron? He went to UM where they have the highest of academic standards for their athletes. Harvard of the Midwest, cept better and all that stuff.
