I'm pulling pretty hard for GSW. I'm not feeling it. These dudes need to catch fire.
Day Day was great in the first half, needs to touch the ball more here and make plays on both ends. It's go time.

If Warriors lose to Thunder, Cavs Gunna take it easily in 5 or 6 games. Thunder are a 2 man hero ball crew. That has never beat Bron Bron and never will. They get destroyed by Lebron's teams every game. This year got crushed, Durant shooting like 8 for 29 and they are winning. Dumbfounding. Warriors making OKC look good by playing like dog shit.

OKC is a different team than they were earlier in the season. Hope they kick Lebron's punk ass.SpartanDawgs265 wrote:If Warriors lose to Thunder, Cavs Gunna take it easily in 5 or 6 games. Thunder are a 2 man hero ball crew. That has never beat Bron Bron and never will.

Are you watching the same game as me? Has any one shot the ball besides durant or westbrook? They are the exact same team as they have been for like 4 years now. No better. James harden roster was way better. Hero ball teams pose no threat to the King.

The Finals will be won with defense. Cleveland has noneSpartanDawgs265 wrote:The Pantry wrote:

Durant and Westbrook are shooting 10-26 and one 10-28. This is the Thunder. How the Warriors are losing right now is mind boggling. Thunder suck.

This is a very entertaining game. I know a game is good if it makes me nervous and I have no real stake in it. I would like GSW to win but I'm not invested enough to really care. But I'm anxious as hell watching this.

Thats the point, when you play a team that doesn't pass the ball, any team can play trap and man defense. Cleveland lacks on rotating multiple tines to three point shooters. Durant and Westbrook will both jack up 30 shots a game like jackasses and get their ass kicked if they win this game somehow.

Kind of hope LeBron loses another Finals, but I'm starting to think he's going to do it this year.

I will attempt to have a real conversation with you because I'm currently under the influence of poison.
I disagree. These are two really, REALLY good teams. OKC is really good because they have two of the most athletically gifted, freak athletes in the game. And when push comes to shove in the playoffs, it's really hard for anyone to match up with that. Cleveland will have issues with those two guys, just like any team in the league would.
GSW is really good because they have a lot of guys who can make buckets from anywhere, and a glue guy like Draymond.
Game 7 is gonna be awesome.
I think either of these teams will take Cleveland in 5 or 6.

Warriors were down 2-1 with just Lebron playing hero ball. Warriors do have a chance unlike OKC to beat Cleveland but it's very small. Cavs can outshoot the Warriors. Keep dreaming. Dream big!

I'm kind of gay for BRON BRON TBH. My gayness began when I had court side seats from 2000-2009. One playoff game he dropped 28 IN A ROW on us to beat us. Luckily we won a championship before he got too good.

Definitely remember that game. That was the Lebron that I pretty much assumed would take over the NBA for the next decade +. Dominant. Balls. Give me the ball.
That's not who he has become, though, and that's why I don't really care for him. He was basically anointed after that series. He's been a prima-donna ever since. Don't get me wrong, I understand why. He's been hailed as the next coming of Jesus since he was on the cover of SI as a 17 year old, and his skill and game has measured up at every step since, unlike others who have been similarly identified as the next coming.
But objectively, something is missing with the guy. I guess I'm old school but honestly imo if you paired that guy's skillset with Bird, Magic, Zeke or MJ's mentality I just think you could shut down the conversation about the GOAT.
I still don't think he understands why "the Decision" came across as poorly as it did. It seems he cares more about his brand and being a global icon than he does about winning championships.
That's just my take. And honestly, he is good/talented enough to continue to win championships without that killer instinct.
I need another bottle of poison.

I hear ya, I understand. I just grew up watching him in person so he felt like MJ to me (only watched him on tv when little). Ever since then, been a fan of him. Let's face it though, Lebron is 100 times the person MJ ever was or will be. Decision was not a wise choice but he is a model human being in a world full of dumb asses. Not really a fan of the Cavs per say, could care less if Kyrie or Love got a title.

Stephen A. has been running around saying LeBron is out right after he wins a championship in Cleveland. Says he will return to Miami; is only in Cleveland to deliver a championship as promised before bouncing back to South Beach. That would be crazy.

Fair.
Torn a bit between watching those assassins when I was a kid and realizing as an adult that I care about how they act off the court/field. Lebron seems to be a good citizen. I just have a bit of a bias/issue with today's culture.

The Cavs will not outshoot the Warriors. You're looking at a few Toronto games and thinking they will match what the Dubs have done THE ENTIRE SEASON.
I'm not trying to get into an argument with you, but I can tell you'll take it that way.

Re: General NBA Playoffs Thread now that the Stones are out
A Pair of Kings and a Trump
In 2012, Gilbert had said that the big lesson he learned from James' departure in 2010 was to never let a player have that much leverage over his franchise again. But coming out of that meeting with James' agents, Gilbert thought back to the call he'd gotten from Michigan State coach Tom Izzo at the end of the first round of the 2012 NBA draft. Izzo had told him, "You gotta take my guy." The Cavs had two second-round picks, and Izzo was calling Gilbert, a Michigan State guy, to tell him that Draymond Green was the real deal. "I still wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat that we didn't take him," Gilbert says of Green, who torched the Cavs for 28 points in the Warriors' 110-77 win in Game 2 of the Finals. "I didn't listen to my gut."
This time Gilbert's gut was telling him to get over himself and do whatever it took to get LeBron back. And if he's being really honest, he says today, he respected the chutzpah behind LeBron's demands: "Yeah, because it's smart. When you're a player, you got X amount of years. That's it. Actually, if you look at it, just from the way the cap works and the TV money ... They knew about [the projected spike in the salary cap in] 2017. So really it makes economic sense to keep signing 1-and-1s."
