How is it carrying a concealed weapon when the weapons were found under the car seat and in the trunk?

Trunk would have probably been OK of not for the weed. Can't have it accessible to the driver though so the seat one is where he got in trouble then everything else gets added on. If he had a CPL that would have been OK... Again except for the drugs

Who cares where they were found? 2nd Amendment. He can have them. Should be end of story. All he was doing was protecting all of your other rights. That is all you need to know.

Is their video tape of Dawson ( later completely exonerated) or Appling being "thugs" ?

They are guilty in your mind based on the color of their skin. The very second the "news" about Dawson came out you convicted him.

And then people wonder why the black crime rate is so high; Drug war and enslaving people for being defense conscious in the types of neighborhoods that are in this cycle which require them to be defense conscious.

Not sure why he'd want to take it into a strip club but that's between him and the owner/policies of the club.

He's obviously got some issues. I'm sure we'll joke about them. However, they're real, and I hope he finds some peace. Either remove yourself from a situation you think you need a gun to protect yourself 24/7, or get mental help that makes you need a gun as a pacifier. Or, just keep doing what you're doing. Im sure when he was playing and a star he had people who wanted to be around him, now I hope those people will help him get some help. This isn't "normal" behavior in my opinion. If I had been caught with an illegal gun and weed, I just don't think I'd put myself in that situation again until I had the problem resolved. I fully understand I was raised and my reality is completely different that Applings, but man, it's hard to muster sympathy right now.

DETROIT - Former Michigan State basketball star Keith Appling pleaded guilty Monday to one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of resisting and obstructing a police officer.

The sentence agreement is five years of probation and one year in the Wayne County Jail without early release. His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 3.

I think he has to more cases to go.

The article says two other cases were dismissed as part of this plea agreement. He'll get the full one year sentence, with no opportunity for early release, also part of the deal.
