Vanilla Ice, Nelly announced for Jackson County Fair

JACKSON, MI — All right stop, collaborate and listen because Vanilla Ice and Nelly were just announced for the Jackson County Fair.

The two are set to perform 7 p.m. Aug. 9 at the fairgrounds. Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 21 and can be bought at www.etix.com, by calling 800-517-3840 or 517-788-4405 or visit the fair's box office, 200 W. Ganson St.

Vanilla Ice is known for his early 90s smash-hit "Ice Ice Baby," while Nelly can tout "Country Grammar," "Hot in Here" and "Dillema," among others.

"Country Grammar" was Nelly's single debut in 2000, and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard charts.

I've been tempted more than once to go just for the spectacle. A couple of years ago I tried to talk one of (any of) my kids into going with me, none of them seemed interested even for a free trip.

Same here. I have heard it is actually pretty friendly because, you know, it's just a big family of juggalos. It seems like something you would have to observe to believe is actually real. Although some pre-emptive vaccines before you go might be a good idea.
