Family of AR-15 Inventor Eugene Stoner: He Didn't Intend It for Civilians

"After many conversations with him, we feel his intent was that he designed it as a military rifle," his family said, explaining that Stoner was "focused on making the most efficient and superior rifle possible for the military."

Yep, but I'm not surprised. I'd also like to point out that this is just a timely news story. Nowhere do I say the AR should be banned. I've just pointed out what the family said. That's factual, not emotional, like so many on the NRA side get.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, when Republicans decided that the NRA was more important than 20+ murdered kindergarten and first graders, our country was in trouble.
