Seems like a really really bad idea. But hell, whatever. They'll find that out on their own in time.

You think? Beyond the economic turmoil, Scotland will hold another referendum which could very well result in independence. That will most likely lead to something similar in Northern Ireland, where it will be far more contentious.

Not really. I've always commented on those things. You're just the type of guy that is already writing your next post before reading other people's posts. It's okay. There are people like that. It just makes you come off as an unthinking simpleton.

A mans gotta retire some time, amirite? Fuck Britain..... I don't GAF about any of those euro fuckheads. The best thing they have done in my lifetime is let all them mooslims in to rape all their 5 year old female children, and show the world how horrible mass illegal immigration is. All that said, this thread is about the price of silver. Fuck you for hijacking my thread.

I think this referendum was a bit of a knee-jerk reactions by the Conservatives over fears that the UK Independence Party was stealing their voters. Whatever is reported, this was probably the product of electoral politics more than a genuine concern about the costs of EU membership.
As for the most common pros: No more contributions to the EU budget and the broad claim of restoring British sovereignty. The latter is usually connect to a range of issues, including immigration and security policy and independent trade deals. However, personally, I do not think Britain would gain too much from having to all-of-the-sudden negotiate independent trade deals. And you already have this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2016/06/23/markets-live-will-sterling-surge-or-slump-as-the-eu-referendum-c/

So is it a similar attitude to a lot of Americans recent surge in isolationism then? I dunno. I never really thought the EU was a super idea in the first place, but once it's there it sort of is what it is and you have to deal with it.

The leave camp will be yippy skippy until they realize they are the pack of purse dogs that caught the bus and don't know what the hell to do next.
GB is the 5th biggest economy in the world. Two light weights, the US and China tried to warn them of consequences. There are going to be a lot of Brits who are going to be very unhappy about their vote 6 - 12 months from now

You seem unnecessarily bothered by everything I say... whether in jest or not. You should smoke some weed or something. Or not... doesn't seem to be helping OTPT.
I know what you meant... just 'deal with it' as in do nothing and mope around "well, I guess we're apart of this thing now even though we don't want to be... nothing we can do about it, just gotta deal with it...."

Yes. This is an exercise in British nationalism if anything else. At this point leaving the EU is rather shortsighted.
In reality the EU was a good idea. Integration bound the continent together and helped overcome a lot of historical rivalries. It also helped a lot of smaller economies compete where they otherwise could not have rivaled the productive capacity of Germany, Britain, and France. There were certainly a lot of policy failures - actually a ton - and the biggest problem was never being able to forge a common European identity. Overall, this is huge if Britain chooses to leave.
