Pat Summitt possibly in her final days

KNOXVILLE - Prayers and support are flooding social media for former Tennessee Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt.

Multiple sources confirm to WBIR that Summitt is not doing well, and her family and friends are preparing to say goodbye.

Her worsening health has led to many visits that some consider final, according to sources.

Seems she was HC at UT forever because she got appointed HC when she was 22 and stayed until she resigned at 60 when the early onset dementia was diagnosed.

You're right. Being a women's CBB coach in the U.S. is not the same thing as being a baseball player in Japan.

Other professions that are not the same: welder in Pakistan and university professor in Ireland.

38 years and 8 National Championships. Does women's college basketball compare to men's ? Nope but she dominated the game.

Hardly.  Every basketball coach on the planet knows who Summitt was and what she accomplished.  
But But But It's just women's basketball.  Right.  
Coaching almost four decades and winning National Championships 20% of the time is mildly interesting.
Using that measure Boeheim and Izzo have had mildly successful careers.

Summitt won SEC championships less than 50% of the time. (16/33 -48.4%)

The NCAA didn't have a NCAA tournament for Women's basketball until the '81-82 season when Summitt had already coached 7 seasons.
Summitt took her team to the Final Four 18 times in 31 seasons.  Just 58% of the time.
Summitt only won 8 NCAA Championships  A measley 26.8% championship percentage.

Like come on guys, what was the big deal.  A mildly successful college coahing career and she graduated a lot of players.
