What was the first car you ever owned?

I rolled in one of these back in high school. A 1983 Ford Thunderbird. It had sweet air vents in the front corner of the driver and passenger side windows. It also had a shitty number pad under the drivers side door handle that would short out every once in a while and randomly lock and unlock my doors while driving. The carburetor was pretty jacked up too as it would flood my engine during the winter. Overall it was a big piece of shit. Had a love/hate relationship with this thing.

1973 Mercury Capri, first pic.  Exactly this color, except it had the black vinyl roof like the second pic, which is actually a '74.  Was a pretty bitchin' car with a manual tranny. It was four years old when I bought it my junior year in HS.

my first car was a white 1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme with the black vinyl top.. looked almost identical to this:



my brother and I had to share it so that led to more than one heated discussion.. and also me having to hang out with his friends as I dropped them off somewhere.. or him having to hang out with mine while he dropped us off.

overall, good times, though.

68 Dodge Coronet 440. I had it from the end of my Jr year in high school till it literally rusted to death the summer after my sophomore year at MSU.

Bought a 1968 Mustang for $325 when I was 14. Back then you could get a special farm driver's license at 14. It was already pretty rusty but I drove the shit out of the car for 3 years. 289 V8 in a car that small so it traveled nicely. I sold it and upgraded the summer between my Junior and Senior year in HS, have missed it ever since. The guy that bought it from me was supposedly going to restore it for his daughter, I've often wondered if he did.

1985 Olds Cutlass Ciera. Rust. Rust. More Rust. But it ran...probably about 80-90 horses at the front wheels.

1969 Nova. Could see the street through the rusted out floor boards.

'69 Valiant. Looked sort of like this, only more rust. A lot more rust, and bondo and primer

First car was given to me: A rusty green '71 Delta 88 2-dr. That car could fly. I could go from zero to Williamston in 3.4 seconds.

First car I paid for was an '81 Pinto. Turd Brown. But that little shitstain lasted way beyond my expectations, and dates didn't seem to mind, so I had that going for me, which was nice.

1983 Cadillac El Dorado. Some good memories in that thing.

87 blue Dodge Charger...it was when they kinda sucked

Hand me down from my step brother. I loaded it with subwoofers and tweeters and amps and shit and sold it for $3200. Used the cash + work earnings + parental assist to upgrade my Sr year to a '91 Eclipse AWD turbo. Loved that car.
