I don't like shit with shells/seeds that have to be discarded. Unless I'm outside, then those are my favorite foods. I don't know what to think about people who eat sunflower seeds indoors.

1) You don't take the shell off. They're meant to be eaten whole, inside or out, and they're fantastic. I'm a fan of the no added flavor variety. Just gimme the damn seeds.

B) You can buy sunflower seeds without the shells, and they're good, too. I fancy the seeds with shells, myself.

I've been eating sunflower seeds, she'll and all, since I was about ten. No problems ever with pooping chewed up shells, but occasionally I'll come across a shell that's just too woody to mash down, so that needs to be spit out and disposed of.

I eat peanuts in the shell the same way if I'm too lazy to remove the shell. Admittedly, I've cut way back on eating the shell of the peanuts since learning of the amount of pesticides used. And for those of you itching for that argument, go ahead and comment away, but I'm not getting into that debate today.
