Agreed. Its body of work and OSU was better. Hard to put PSU in with 2 loses when one was to an unranked team. OSU had #1 SOS, PSU #12. OSU with one more top ten win, one less lose and no bad loses. If they had the same record I would obviously give PSU the edge but the Pitt lose did them in and should have.

I'm not really that offended by any of the final results. I don't trust the committee but I don't have a beef with any of the order of the final 6. If anything I prob would have made OSU 4 and U Dub 3. But whatever, I don't really care because none if it affects MSU (other than Michigan being left out).

Yes, first ranking in everything is always number of losses. Head to head is only used if losses are equal.

Both Ohio State and TCU had one loss. Ohio State also played an extra game, the B1G championship game, and absolutely DESTROYED a ranked Wisconsin team (I think Wisconsin was Top 10). I have an issue with the Big 12 because each team essentially has an extra bye week because the league schedules big games during the same week as the conference championship games. What is the value of a B10 championship game? Seems like the importance fluctuates depending on how it helps out Ohio State.

Is there anything dumber than college sports references to a teams "resume?" They played each other. Penn state won. Psu and osu are in a collection of schools that agreed upon a system to determine the champion of that set of schools before the season. Penn state won that too. Its pretty black and white, penn state is more deserving of going to the playoffs.

the only sport in the world where osu would be more deserving than psu of continuing their season is college football where its a beauty pageant for men more than it is an athletic competition. A soap opera to get you to watch to see what whacky thing is gonna happen next. Whatever. If they cant come up with a fair system then they should abandon the concept of a national championship altogether. But they wont because like otpt said, $$$
