If you can hold on for anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours, it will probably show up here (and you do not even need to join Twitter).

Exactly. Twitter and the expansion of social media is going to kill of places like Spartanmag and 247. I used to be a long time (maybe 5 years or so) subscribe to Spartanmag way back in the day before technology got better and there wasn't much use. Spartanmag was bad though. Any dissent about MSU and you got attacked constantly--just like rcmb now is.

I can just buy the expansive MSU football season preview mag for like $6 and Im good.

I am slightly surprised recruiting sites are still valuable. It seems senseless to pay for information that will be free in a few minutes, an interview (with a recruit), analysis from people unqualified to perform such an analysis, and complete guesses as to where a kid will go to college. Outside of a few select schools with fanatical fansbases, it seems odd that these sites have staying power.
