Bankruptcy? So what.
Their CEO will probably claim a $1 billion loss on his taxes.
Guy is a genius.

With CBS buying 247, Yahoo buying Rivals and ESPN being the other service - I imagine these services must be losers on their own to drive traffic to the parent board

We need to build up our credibility so we can get bought out and the 7 of us can retire with our stock options.

Sorry Tanny, when you ran back to tCock you missed the share division. The 7 of us that were left here reaped the rewards.

No, thank-you. We have Solari on payroll, and Hondo will eat all the pie.

Re: The Power of the Swill - Down Goes Scout!!
So Jim Heckman started Rivals, lost control in the .com crash and starts Scout then resigns as CEO of Scout in July and starts talking about starting something new.
Terry Shannon takes over Rivals, then sells it to Yahoo, sits on the sidelines until his non-compete was done. Shannon starts 247 then sells to CBS and is collecting a salary running 247 for CBS.
Whole thing sounds like building a business and looking for the next fool. When you have Sam Webb and Hondo Carpenter on the payroll you are near the bottom of the barrel.
Hondo may be a nice enough guy but neither he or Webb seem to be able to put a paragraph together.

Well if we can get enough sports writers to follow us we may be able to sell out to the Food Network or Golden Corral.

And a 14 year old kid in California who goes by the name of JWeibs holds the key to the future.
