If the IRS wants to get info on your bitcoins it means they already know about your bitcoins. Now they want details.

Don't know about the up the butt tax.
they want a piece of the action and they have ways to find it. Remember Silk Road and the arrest / conviction of Dread Pirate Roberts?
Its a lot like what happened with PED's after Barry Bond's chemist told the Feds the details on masking agent(s) he had formulated. Once folks knew where to look and what to look for in samples from athletes, fewer used and those that do get caught.

You have a couple of bitcoins? 5 BTC would be worth about $3500 right now, right? I wish I would have bought more at $225, but only bought about .2 BTC.

Experts claim the growth corresponds with a weakening in the Chinese yuan; bitcoin is apparently attractive to Chinese traders because it enables them to evade currency controls.

Heard that before. I know that some are expecting 1 btc to = $10,000 in the next few years. If that's the case, now it's still a good buy. Wish I had more than .2, but speculating on crypto currency that I only partially understand doesn't mean I should throw at it.MattyFresh wrote:Experts claim the growth corresponds with a weakening in the Chinese yuan; bitcoin is apparently attractive to Chinese traders because it enables them to evade currency controls.
