OSU and UCLA are visiting Martin now and offering and Michigan is at his school today. Looks like his stock is blowing up. Once Uncle Urban is involved and offers, our chances probably diminish quite a bit. That one might have gone out the window when he left town without committing.

Martin strikes me as the type of kid that could have committed to MSU or Iowa at any time by now, but he wanted to wait for a big dog like OSU or UM to come in and try and swoop him.

Seen this movie before. Hes looking for reasons not to come to MSU, it would seem.

If said recruit is obsessed with the big name blue bloods, then yeah, that happens.

MSU isnt even a consideration for pretty much all of the top prospects outside a 5 hour drive from EL despite Dantonios track record of putting players in the NFL. They want all the hype and hoopla that comes with going to OSU or wherever.

Just think about all the unwarranted hype and coverage Peppers got just because he went to UM.

If he went to Iowa or MSU, he'd be a projected 3rd round pick, wouldnt have been first team all big ten, and lol at getting invited to the Heisman.

Something funny going on with Cumberlander. After the visit, he told Comp reportedly that his offer was commitable and MSU was his dream school but was vague about why he didn't commit. Either something going on with his grades or something else.

I just hope that 2 star well (where we got Bell, Cousins,, Dennard etc.) doesn't run dry. Remember, we had some recruiters on the staff back then. Not so much now. These guys are swinging and missing all over the place.

It seems like that for now. 3-9 doesnt really help your cause, much, if at all.

Why 1-8 in conference this year?

Thats what Duff is missing...those guys back then were way fucking better at finding these two stars than the current dead weight staff.
