Because it sure as hell ain't singing. Watching rock and roll hall of fame ceremonies on HBO. Always thought she was much ado about nothing. Just sang Linda Ronstadts "its so easy", meh..... In contrast Stevie Nicks and Carrie Underwood killed "When will I be loved"...

Well, if you actually know much about music, you know she was the actual voice on a lot of famous 80s tracks for singers like Madonna and Paula Abdul, and that she was an alcoholic who was lied to a ton about getting her own record while being the voice behind talent, and that is one reason why she doesn't sound as good now.

Dumb thread, judging her on one cover performance. She's an extremely talented writer and performer.

Not one of her more popular songs but I've always loved this one
