If we're gonna do this immigration ban/restriction thing...
Shouldn't we do more than just those 7 countries? If the logic is that those countries contain dangerous extremists who might come to this country and commit crimes or acts of terror, doesn't that also apply to a good many countries not among the 7?
This thread is not to discuss the merits of the policy itself, but rather to discuss what other countries we might add to the list for essentially all of the same reasons.
I'll start: Saudi Arabia. If we maintain the restrictions on the current 7, can someone articulate to me a reason why we ought not to add Saudi Arabia to the list?

Nobody wants to add to the list, eh?

Just theorizing. I would imagine they don't want to throw more countries under the bus than they have to and perhaps the intel just indicates those 7 are in a class above the others.

But what intel is that? We don't have any. That's one of the reasons it's being questioned and the point I've been making. If he didn't have his own personal agenda going on, than why aren't those other countried banned? The ones on the list aren't where the terrorists came from.

There has to be a reason why Obama also specified these countries as being in a different class than others. The CIA keeps an active dossier on all countries but with obvious special attention paid to more fluid parts of the world. There is always intel all the time. Whether Trump is using that intel is anyone's guess.

Re: If we're gonna do this immigration ban/restriction thing...
You'd almost think this discouraging illegal immigration thing might be working......
Amid foreign worker shortage, Bar Harbor businesses turn to local labor
It's a goddamned Festivus miracle....higher wages too.....amazing.

Until then, Bar Harbor area employers are enticing workers in other ways. Higher wages are part of the solution. Searchfield says some businesses are also weighing new schedules that might appeal to older workers in the region, interested in working only a day or two each week.

Wait, you're saying maybe a 15 dollar minimum wage will be a good thing? Now these restaurants will find that money? FESTIVUS MIRACLE
Also, not forcing low paid workers to work impossible hours that's great. Share the money earned and respect your workers. Too bad it took replacing brown people with white for corporate owners to realize that but you take what you can.

I'm not sure your correlation makes any sense.
H-2B foreign workers are generally seasonal. They aren't "illegal". Businesses (including Trump) like using H-2B workers because they will work for less wages.
Having to pay workers more money is good for those businesses how?
Both Maine Senators are sponsoring legislation to essentially bump up the cap and get more H-2B workers into Maine (that's in the article you linked). If this worker shortage in Maine was some sort of success story for Trump's immigration policy, why would a Republican Senator want more H-2B workers?

THE FOREIGN WORKERS OF MAR-A-LAGO
"His Administration recently made it harder to get H1-B visas, but he has expressed no objection to the visa category that hotels and resorts use—the H-2B—to attract low-cost, low-skilled seasonal labor. In fact, at Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach club, the visas are still in active use."
