I actually have a neighbor (about 3 miles away) that collects artillery/tanks etc. He's got a couple of working Shermans, so pretty cool black powder cannons and at least one mountain howitzer. I drove to Onacock, VA to pick the howitzer up for him. There's nothing quite like the attention you get going down the freeway with a full size cannon in the back of your pickup.

I had a similar reaction driving a manure spreader around the Capitol in Lansing (missed the fork in 496)

So my business partner's step son makes 2-5 K a week selling Ammo. That's profit. He's capitalizing on the current angst in America.

No idea how he does it. But I think it's internet. He lives in manhattan. I hear second hand stuff about all the shit he has in his life. Seems like a wheeler dealer type shady guy. Never met him.

People would laugh at it until you whistled the 1st cannon ball past their ear.

Was it a working cannon? I'd hate to be there when they shot their load only to find out there were unseen fissures. Ouch.

What a COLOSSAL waste of your money IMO. Pick a deserving charity for cancer, kids or both and donate your money to that. You'll feel better and it will go to good use. A civil war era cannon? I love history, but again....stop pissing your money away and think of what good it could actually do toward a worthy cause.

Why not buy a small used excavator. After you get done digging your moat you can do side jobs.
