This dude with a lot of free time on his hands and a wizard at coloring excel spreadsheets broke down the BIG Tournament seeding scenarios.

Michigan State:
3 seed with a win (25.7%)
5 seed with a loss and Purdue win (41.0%)
6 seed with a loss, Northwestern win, and either Iowa win or Michigan loss (27.4%)
7 seed with a loss, Northwestern win, Iowa loss, and Michigan win (5.9%)

Odds of getting a first round bye and playing the 11-14 seed on Friday are pretty high. Which unless we shit our pants, we win and get in the tournament. Worst case scenario, we lose today, lots of other shit happens and we play the 10 seed on Thursday... then shit gets dicey for our tournament bid.

I've actually had  Gopher and skunk and beaver (the food kind) at a cook out with my friend who is a state cop and thinks I'm soft because I buy meat from a store.  

I pretty much will eat everything he cooks at his annual cook out in Manistee, but I won't eat bear again.  It really does taste like shit.  Now I've never eaten shit, but I've smelled it, and it tastes like shit smells. I can't really remember what gopher tasted like, but I"m usually drunk as hell by the time we get the plates out and take various pieces of different meat he's killed all year.

Yep. The kids are showing up and giving solid consistent effort now, it has shown in the last 2 road games and the win against Wiscy. Purdue is the only team in the league that is a true mismatch. My opinion. I don't see a team going lights out in a neutral site like they are prone to do on their home floor.

Izzo needs to win the 'first for sure, then the second, then he needs to fuck around with the line ups to rest these freshmen for Thursday of the following week. They'll get to the weekend I'm thinking.

League is full of freshmen. Purdue and Michigan are old compared to many. They seem to be playing the best too. Michigan can make a run, and if Lurch for Purdue ever gets his shit together, they could go deep in the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan in the elite 8. They get hot, fuck, they can do some shit.

Agreed re: UM, if they get hot shooting, it's lights out. I just don't see them as tough enough to do that outside of their own barn. I really like the way the team is playing over the past week/week and a half. I can see a difference. The last 3 games played out exactly as I thought they would to be honest.

You forgot UW which starts 4 seniors (Koenig, Showy, Hayes and Brown). Come to think of it that is very disappointing to have 4 seniors and barely be a top 25 team.

MSU is 2-3 against those three with 3 of those games on the road. MSU would have beat PSU at Breslin easy making it 3-3. PU is the only awful matchup for MSU in the BIG (as I've said since Jan 1) How are the other two so rough?
