Probably Huck and Novo. Both are excellent. Denver has a lot of great roasters so you have a lot of choices.

Regular and I've been making it in our Mr. Coffee maker. My big beef with them for a while was their use of Styrofoam cups but at home that's not an issue.

Re: Top 50 fast food items in America
These are the most underrated items on the McDonald’s menu
Never heard of the The Daily Double but the Steak Egg & Cheese Bagel is, by far, the tastiest item I ever had at MD. The caramelized onion and steak set it apart from all else they offer. Â Sadly, locations around here no longer offer it.

Tried Arby's limited time Country Style Rib Sandwich today. Excellent. More expensive but many times better than the McRib.

Anyone remember Hot n Now? I thought they were going to blow up but looking back it’s probably an awful businesss model to try to run an operation selling .39 hamburgers.

I ordered a fish filet from McDonalds yesterday. I liked it, but wondered if I like it because of the tarter sauce? Also, not enough fish too much bun.
I think it's better than a McDonald burger though.

Re: Top 50 fast food items in America
I was out riding my bike earlier this week and passed by the nearest McDonalds. This was about 3:30PM on a weekday. There were so many cars in the drive thru that the next one would have been sitting in the right lane of a major 5-lane road, so probably 20 cars in the double drive thru. WTF is wrong with people? Find something better. It's not even that inexpensive any more.

It was a bargain for sure. I think they just didn't understand that you gotta have a higher profit margin. McDonalds for the same order would probably come to $5.00 with tax. Hot n Now was practically giving it away!

You're taking that very well. If I had pedaled past McDonald's without stopping on Five-Dollar Burger and BJ Day, I'd still be kicking myself.

Agree on the fish to bun ratio...amount of fish seems much smaller than years ago. Use to like McD filet o'fish. IMO they should remove the cheese and add lettuce as a standard ingredient.DWags wrote:I ordered a fish filet from McDonalds yesterday. Arby's offers a decent fish sandwich during Lent but the fish is pollock, like McD. Wendy's uses cod for their Lent fish sandwich.

Weighing options, decided on ordering a Tubby's mushroom, steak & cheese for game time. Haven't had one ages. In my top 3 favorite local subs/sandwiches.

Still the best deal for shoving empty calories in your kid's piehole. Er... I mean being a responsible parent on the go.
2 hot n ready for the kid's, mom and I at the place with the whisky/wine list for days and olive oil & bread on the table.

Re: Top 50 fast food items in America
It may be posted in here, but has anyone tried savvy sliders? They're popping up all over here, but I'm just not impressed.
I tried their chicken sandwich and regular slider. Husband had the fish sandwich. It just all wasn't impressive. It was more money than most fast food places. The worst part was the buns. They were so doughy, it just stuck to the roof of my mouth. The chicken sandwich was kinda soggy and supposed to be crispy. The burger one tasted better, but I couldn't get past the buns.
The crinkle fries weren't bad though. It was so underwhelming that I don't plan on trying it again. But I also don't get fast food that often.

Assuming you mean White Castle ...
Though they are the original fast-food franchise they always have been a bit different. The way they pack the sliders has something to do with the doughy buns. Their buns have always been like that.

They are not a White Castle product? (No, I don't keep up with fast-food branding.)
