Nice, US takes the lead on a 2 out RBI single by McCutcheon. Top 4.

Doesn't seem like anyone cares but USA takes lead 2-1 in top of 8 on a sac ground out from Adam Jones with a runner on 3rd and 1 out.

USA wins. 2-1. Nice 9th by Luke Gregerson.

US just went up 3-0 in the 5th. Ian led the inning off with a single and scores on an RBI single by someone else that I would be able to name if I were paying closer attention.

Joe Jiminez now on the bump for PR.

Not a bad outing for the young fella. Inherited first and second with no outs and a run already in. Gave up a run that will be earned but barely.

First guy up tries to sac bunt. JJ fields cleanly and throws out the lead runner at 3rd. One out.

Next guy grounds to Lindor at SS. Not a rocket, but Lindor backhands, has a tiny issue on the exchange, gets the force at second but the relay is too late due to the bobble. First and third, two outs.

Next guy is Cutch, he hits a shot on the ground deep in the hole at SS which Lindor somehow gets to and backhands. But too late to get the runner at first. Run. 4-0 US.

Next guy pops up in infield. To the b5.

My bad actually that's unearned. Didn't connect that the run scorer was inherited.

Brandon Crawford breaks it open. 2 out bases loaded single in the 7th, scored 2. US up 6-0. Stroman with a no-no going for US.

Thank you for thanking me Travis. I have no idea why I'm still up (actually I do but it's a long story). But I think we're gonna get that gold here at the end of the rainbow. It's 8-0 going into b9.

I'm glad we could beat the territory that is contractually obligated to lose to us given the opportunity
