If you don't think you'll like any of them, Miami, you can drop them off at my house.

MiamiSpartan wrote:A sales rep that calls on me gave me a 3 month subscription to The Original Craft Beer Club. Each month, I get 12 bottles. 3 each of 4 different beers. So free beer every month for 3 months and a lot of beers that I wouldn't otherwise try. I'm not a big enough connoisseur to know what the best craft breweries are outside of a few.
Got first shipment yesterday.
2 from Dick's in Washinton, an IPA and an Irish Red.
2 from River Horse in NJ, an Oatmeal Milk Stout and a Chocolate Porter.
I much prefer dark beers, so am happy that half of the first batch are a stout and porter.
What were the other 8 bottles?

Hopslam is back in stores. It's in bottles again, as it should be. Store owner said Bell's can't get enough cans due to covid.

Has craft beer jumped the shark?
Friend noted that I liked Budweiser and offered up a micro brew that was supposed to be in the style of an American Lager.
I’ll tell you this it wasn’t beechwood aged, cold filtered, fire brewed or from the Latrobe River.

I'm definitely over the IPA thing. Will still enjoy a 2 Hearted, but I wont drink anything explained as "juicy" ever again.

Won't touch Coors light. Kills my stomach. Wake up in the middle of the night with pain and shits. Seems like some of the really cheap other ones got me too. Bush Light Draft... uh... Cant remember... cheap college beers. Olympia.

Re: Craft beer
The older I get the more I just circle back to European beers that have been made for centuries. German pilsners, Czech pilsners, Guinness Stout and British ales. The gold standard of beers.

bought a 6 pack of Blueberry Toffee Fly Fishing Quadruple IPA. It was fermented inside a hollowed out oaken fence post harvested from an organic arugula farm in Oregon where employees are paid a living wage.

I like my life less complicated. Cable tv so I don’t have to figure streaming out. Bud light so I don’t have to look around in beer caves at stores black coffee from 7/11 so I don’t have to learn Italian or French to order.

Seems like Pantry is from the Midwest (and obviously plenty of other people who drink craft beer).
I mean there are probably people in Colorado who only drink Coors.

What I usually do is buy the limit then I take another sixer or two and put them behind the 6 packs of Blueberry Toffee Fly Fishing Quadruple IPA. Nobody drinks that shit so when I go back in a week and all the Slams are gone I can find my cache right where I left it.

Congrats. Surprised it's out your way this quick in the season. Picked up a couple sixes yesterday for $18 each. Didn't ask the case price.. In the past it's been $2-3 cheaper per six.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:got 4 6 packs. thanks again, pantry!
