Thanks for the squeaky wheel reminder. Took two calls (first one got dropped about 10 minutes in) this evening and close to two hours total time, with 3-4 transfers in ATT to persons higher up. Knocked $30 off my bill but not a single one of them could explain why my billing data usage is 10x what it was a couple years ago. Haven't changed usage...same as it's been for years.

fuckers. Might move back to Sprint when my contract runs out later this year

Total Wireless, you can get it online or at the Walmart phone store. You can bring your own phone or buy one of theirs. $35 for one line or $60 for two lines. I think you can go up to 4 phones and the price goes up by $30 or so per phone but you also get more data. You buy the prepaid cards or sign up for auto renewal with a credit or debit card and you get a 5% discount. The wife and I both have Samsung S5s

ATT with only limit on data at 6G. Rollover. Two phones sharing the data limit for $130.

Employer reimburses $80 first paycheck each month for my cell. They kick in $200 every 2 years when upgrading.

ATT contract is up end of the month. Currently have an S6 Active which is fine with me but my son had his S6 Active stolen summer 2016 and has been using my old S4 ever since. He's itching for a new phone so I checked with ATT about upgrading both phones to S8+.

Pretty weird. Chatted with two ATT people on the website then spoke with three ATT people. Got different prices from all of them on upgrading to two S8+. Cheapest was roughly $175/month with insurance on both phones and staying with my current 6GB plan. Seems like a lot for two phones and a data limit.

Not opposed to switching carriers. Checked Sprint again. Roughly $175 also but no data limit.

Anyone find anything better recently?

What phones? Insurance? Do you know someone that works for them?

Best I saw for two S8+ with insurance from Verizon with unlimited was over $230 before fees and taxes.

I paid upfront for my Galaxy S8 and use Straight Talk. It's $45/mo for 10GB of data, and is pretty simple to use. I love it. I'll take the upfront hit if I save a shitload monthly.

My phones have been paid for long ago. I've not been on a contract for 4-5 years.

The last 2 phones we replaced we bought from Amazon for around $60.

One was an Alcatel and one was a Blu.....they're both still functioning well.
Much less expensive than getting locked into a contract.

I gave straight talk a shot for a few months and really liked them. Good coverage. It was only 5gigs back then for $45. @ 10gigs I might jump back.
