Well I predicted 4-11 a page or two back when the Boston, Arizona, Tampa, Seattle series were ahead of us.

So far we only have one win vs Boston and I don't see us winning this one.

I'm going to guess 1-3 vs Tampa and 2-2 vs Seattle.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but it sounds like Miggy and Ausmus aren't seeing eye to eye. The example here is the throw-overs -- a player publicly disagreeing with the calls from the bench -- but the manager's post-game comments read like a guy tired of someone bitching.

The main issue is Miguel knows way more about the game than Brad, plus has way better instincts

You're probably right that's it's the main issue, and I sure know it's the truth, but it's not usually a good sign when a player publicly calls out his manager in the middle of a game. That's the kind of thing that should happen in the dugout or clubhouse. Very few coaches are comfortable enough with themselves to take shit from players in public--the first example who comes to mind is Tom izzo. He has that kind of relationship with his players, but he's said if they're going to disagree, that they'd better be right. As for Miggy, I agree with him that Ausmus was focusing too much on the runner. Pitchers get in a rhythm and three throws to first gets a guy out of that rhythm, plus, he's thinking more about the runner than pitching to the guy at the plate.

Brad has been delt a shitty hand. There is no answer to manage that BP. None.

You put Maddon, Francona or any other baseball genius you can think of in his job and the results are the same. That being said its time for Brad to go. He did good with what he had but it's time for him to get a fresh start somewhere else.
