MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. Moscow’s patience with Washington is running out, since the US has been dragging its feet on Russia’s confiscated diplomatic property.

In late December 2016, the Obama administration slapped new sanctions on Russia declaring 35 staff members of the Russian Embassy in Washington and the Consulate General in San Francisco persona-non-grata and closing two Russian compounds in the States of New York and Maryland.

The Russian personnel’s access to these compounds was restricted on December 30. Washington linked these sanctions to some alleged cyber attacks against US political institutions, and consequently blaming Russia for carrying out these incidents.

G20 summit is July7-8.  I'm sure Putin will summon his lap dog for a stern chat on how to correct this issue.....

How Congress is taking back power from Trump on national security

The Senate's Russia sanctions bill may be the most significant fight thus far over the balance of national security power. The bill, which passed 98-2, would give Congress the ability to block Trump from rolling back sanctions on Moscow and comes amid concerns from lawmakers following a Washington Post report in May that said Trump was considering returning two Russian compounds that the US seized in December sanctions on Russia.

Senators are now pressing the House to pass the bill without weakening it.
