I'm glad those guys turned down those roles. Can't imagine the movie any different

I believe Bill Murray agreed to Ghoatbusters as part of a deal with the studio to let him make Razor's Edge.

This was the first movie I ever watched in a theater. I will be 35 in August.

Might be mine, too. I have to think it was probably ET or some shit though. I do remember a few years later I saw B2TF in the theater and a week later I called my Grandmother a bastard.

I saw Ghostbusters at the M78 drive, which then became Super Cinema.

The summer before 6th grade for me. If you came back from summer vacation and didn't have a Ghostbusters t-shirt, you were shamed. I had mine and felt sorry for the poor bastards that didn't. The only thing worse would be the saps that didn't get parachute pants for Christmas that year.
Seriously though, Ghostbusters + the magic of the 84 Tigers. Just an epic summer for an 11 year old.

30 years ago today, my 9 month pregnant wife and I were watching this movie at the movie theater at Frandor. About 15 minutes from the end, she excused herself and went to the restroom. A few minutes layer she returned and told me her water had broke. We immediately left and headed to Sparrow Hospital, where she gave birth to our 1st daughter. It was the following year before I got to see the end of the movie. We took our year-old daughter to the drive-in movie theater on old 27, north of Lansing, and watched Ghostbusters there. That movie will always have a special place in our family's history.

Saw it in June of '84 at some theater in Salt Lake City, after that a staple in the kids toy box was one of these.
The same weekend of the NBA draft and we visited the Salt Palace when the Jazz announced their first pick was some guy named John Stockton....."who is he, never heard of him"

Watching a rerun. The chick that played Gozar has always reminded me of Sheena Easton. Finally decided to look it up.

Lumbergod, wherever you are, that’s a great story. Danny Tanner, wherever you are, it’s five years later and your opinion on this movie still sucks.

I wanted to say my 1st movie in theaters was Return of the Jedi, but it wasn't. I looked at release dates and this one was a year earlier..........
