Is this really a surprise? A pack of dummies really thought they could navigate DC and obliterate the Obama legacy with tweets? LOL.

I've read multiple reports that his inner circle admits he has no clue how to Garner support for another broken promise. Seems he's alienating a MAJORITY. How does that happen?

I certainly think the knuckle-draggin' deplorables thought he would.
but, remember, these are the same people who supported an admitted sexual predator who mocks disabled people - so we're not really talking about people who have a good handle on reality.
it's fun to watch, though - no repeal/replace, Crooked Hillary isn't locked up.. no wall to keep out scary brown people.. the deplorables still cheering on their sexual predator who is being investigated by the Dept. of Justice.

I think his presidency will go down as a complete failure. This "movement" burned hot and fatigue is now setting in. Just like a reality show. It jumps the shark eventually and becomes repetitive. America is getting tired of Twitterer in Chief. You can't run a country with a majority and accomplish nothing legislatively. Eventually he'll treat the office like an ex wife. Get bored of it. Sad.

Trump (probably with guidance from Bannon) is already distancing himself from his own party blaming GOP legislators for the healthcare vote.
It will get uglier with Trump going after any US Senator who doesn't praise him.

of course, it sucks that America is going to suffer.. but, as I've said here plenty of times, we're basically a stupid country and, usually, we get what we deserve. Hence a reality TV star/sexual predator as president.

Next step is aggressive purging of voter rolls to stop voters from casting ballots for candidates who don't agree with them.

It's the democrats fault. If they weren't powerless in passing or not passing this and they'd just agree to take the blame for everything America would be great again. Like it was under Roosevelt. And Truman. And Clinton. And Reagan. And Obama. (I just wish Obama was white. It would have been greater)

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out....
Democrats Will Soon Regret That Republicans Failed To Repeal ObamaCare
While Schumer and company were busy calling Republicans mass murderers, here's what was actually happening with ObamaCare.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports that the number of insurers applying to participate in ObamaCare exchanges next year plunged by 38% compared with last year, and is half what it was in 2016.
CMS also reported that 40 counties in Indiana, Ohio and Nevada are at risk of having zero insurance companies in their ObamaCare exchanges next year. The Kaiser Family Foundation put the number of at-risk counties at 38.
In addition, CMS reported that 2.4 million enrollees in 40% of the nation's counties will have just one insurance company in their area.
The average increase in premiums next year for a Silver plan in eight states will be 18%, according to Avalere. One of the last ObamaCare insurers in Iowa has put in for a 43.5% hike. In Washington state, the average boost is 22%. In Tennessee, the proposed rate hikes range from 21% to 42%. And so on.
As we noted before in this space, these insurance defections and gargantuan rate hikes have nothing to do with the Republican's repeal effort, but with the continued deterioration of the ObamaCare markets.
States are also starting to struggle with the costs of ObamaCare's "free" Medicaid expansion. A report from the National Association of
State Budget Offices said that the expansion will cost states nearly $9 billion next year, more than twice what it cost in 2016.
CMS reports that the per capita costs of the Medicaid expansion are 50% higher than expected.
Arkansas scaled back its Medicaid expansion in May, and Ohio lawmakers voted in June to freeze the expansion in that state. Oregon's Medicaid expansion contributed a $1.6 billion gap in the state's budget. In California, the Medicaid expansion will cost the state $1.3 billion this year, putting additional strain on the state's budget.
As economist Herbert Stein once put it, if something can't go on forever, it won't.

I don't think anyone here will argue the point that proper and effective medical coverage for all Americans is expensive beyond reasonability. The for profit system is broke. Not the idea that everyone should be covered

So basically we've learned the same lesson that most of us knew many years ago. Trump is really good at saying things, not so much doing them. I guess you can't really blame him for not fixing something that isn't broke. His BS works. We just underestimated how dumb this country is.

The Republican's DO own this. They have the opportunity to roll back their sabotaging of the ACA and to work with Dems to fix the things that need fixing, and they choose not to. They will hold their breath, stomp their feet, nothing will change, and they will be voted out in 18, at which point the Dems will put legislation in front of Trump that he will sign because he believes in nothing, and has no values.

Yep. Seven years to plan for new, seven years for bitching about the ACA, they own everything in DC. It's the Dems fault. It's also being sabotaged by them. But..... Dems fault.

The President has never taken credit for a failure in his life. When a project fails its the government unit where the project was located, the financing fell through because someone else screwed up, architect, general contractor or subcontractors failed.
Nothing has ever been Trump's fault and never will be.
