Sigh. In the 7th, JV hits Trout on a 3-2 pitch to lead off.

Strikes out J-UP.

Gets Pujols to fly out or something.

Strikes out Cole Kalhoun on 4 pitches.

1-0 Stros. JV at 101 pitches, at least 7 Ks. 1 hit allowed.

Oh and with the D-backs game on a side TV, JDM missed a HR in b9 by about 2 feet and settles for a double, standing on 2nd down 4-2.

Love being a Tiger fan.

JV strikes out 2 more and sets them down in order in the bottom of the 8th. Still 1-0 Stros going to the 9th. Have to believe he's done at 110 or 111 pitches. 1 hit. Superb outing.

He must love this new luxury of playing for a team that can protect such a small lead at the end of the game. I was spent after watching the Tigers, wish I had saved myself for this game instead.

Garrett Richards who had also only allowed 1h, 0 ER for LAA was pulled. Houston puts 2 on and Gurriel hits a 3R bomb in b7. JV gonna win again. They'll probably let him go back out for the 8th and pull him at any sign of trouble.

I gotta abort watching the tigers for the rest of the season. I've seen some terrible baseball but they are achieving new lows.
