Re: Joe Tiller. Basketball under grass
Per LA Times via Wikipedia, Tiller started at Wyoming in 1991 on a salary of 65k per year. I knew he was at Wyoming prior to Purdue, but was a bit shocked to read that he was making only 65k.

65k in 1991 probably wasn't that bad, actually, maybe like making 125k now? Plus in Wyoming that money goes a lot further than anywhere else.
125k is probably about 175k less than the smallest DIA salary.
He might have had such a small salary because the school was budgeting for a new escalator around that time.

You were the coach at Joburg-Lewiston not a DIA program.
I am sure that was not so out of the norm for small DIA programs back then. Crazy how much they have grown. I remember reading CMU and EMU's coaches are in the bottom 25 for salaries, but they are both over 400k per year. CMU's coach is over 500k.

You're not interested but one reason I didn't take a grad sss position at MSU and I'd go back in the early 90's and buy those coaches dinner is because my job paid way more than asstoaches.

I'm interested.
You should have taken that job. Today you would be the head coach at a MAC school making no less than 300k. Maybe you would be the coach of MSU and the third best coach in CFB behind Saban and Fleck.

They don't play football at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Turtleneck. Gosh, you're dumb.
