I was driving to work this morning, due west at 6am and the moon was just above the horizon. It was so big it looked like I drive there in under five minutes.

It means, according to my calculations, in my 56 years the moon has move about 6 and a half feet further away from us. I don't know if that fucks up tides or makes NASA geeks have to do a shit load more math for a moon shot, but I'm thinking it'll have zero effect on us in our lives.

the moon was freaky this morning.. was big and bright around 5:30 or so. The longer it went, just before sunrise it seemed to drop in the sky, get an orange-ish tint and swelled up in the sky.

tWife had her weekly appointment yesterday and was complaining about a lot of movement with the kid. The doctor said it might be because of the huge moon. I shit you not, that's what she said. I wanted to ask how high she was at that moment but decided against it.

Lots of baby movement lately. Either because she's 37 weeks pregnant... or a big moon? I'm going with the huge fucking moon!

It was cool. The only thing missing was the blotter.

Had a Wednesday night astronomy class back in 81. 7-10 p.m. at night. Was high most of those nights, and it was at the planetarium. Took it as a Nat Sci requirement. Very cool, very fun. I still point out constellations to the kids. For the life of me can't remember the prof's name. Guy played music in the background and showed us shit. Probably useless in the long run, but it was fun.
